The Russia-Ukraine War SITREP No. 883, for 14 July 2025, is 48 pages long.

RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR TACTICAL SUMMARY

At the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that Ukraine would be receiving a significant military aid package using funds from European nations to purchase weapons through NATO, and pass through to Ukraine. Trump also announced that he was delaying secondary sanctions on Russia for an additional 50 days (now 49 days).

During the press conference, Rutte and Trump stated that Ukraine would receive up to 17 additional full Patriot batteries, with the first ones expected to arrive in days. In the evening, the Pentagon pushed back, claiming they did not know what 17 batteries entail and there had not been coordination with the White House. In breaking news, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said the first Patriot batteries wouldn’t arrive for months after meeting with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Ukrainian forces had an extremely difficult 72 hours on the battlefield, with Russian troops making numerous tactically significant advances in several areas of operation (AO).

In northern Sumy, Russian sources finally admitted that their troops had withdrawn from Kindrativka, while Russian forces advanced into the southwest corner of Yunakivka.

In the northeastern part of the Kharkiv Oblast, Russian forces were observed approximately 5 kilometers past the state border, west of Milove.

In the northeastern part of the Donetsk Oblast, the situation deteriorated significantly in the Kostiantynivka AO. Russian forces occupied Dyliivka (the one south of Bila Hora), and advanced further west of the Siversky Donets–Donbas Canal west of Ozarianivka. Two Russian soldiers briefly held a flag up for a drone on the western edge of Novospaske. Russian forces reached the southern edge of Oleksandro-Kalynove again, but have not consolidated their gains. They also advanced into the western half of Yablunivka and reached the Yablunivka–Stepanivka Road.

In the southwestern part of the Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces made tactically significant advances from the area of Koptieve and Razine. Fedorivka was captured, and Russian troops were observed in Chervonyi Lyman, which is now contested. Russian drone units have fire control of the Pokrovsk–Dobropillya Road.

In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Russian forces did multiple flag raisings in Malynivka, capturing the settlement. It is the deepest advance in this region since March 2022. Russian troops also advanced on the E-105 Highway in Kamyanske, reaching the northern edge of the settlement. However, multiple geolocations show Ukrainian forces continue to hold the areas east and west of the highway.

In other AOs, the LOC remained stable or received minor adjustments.
