The World Watch Report for 3 July 2025 includes the Russia-Ukraine War SITREP No. 877 and is 62 pages long.

RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR TACTICAL SUMMARY

Our geospatial team conducted its monthly map audit, resulting in numerous adjustments to the frontlines not related to recent military activity.

Russian forces advanced 250 meters over the border of Kharkiv Oblast and waved flags in the border village of Milove.

The map audit concluded that in the Kreminna area of operation (AO) in the northeastern region of the Donetsk Oblast, Yampolivka and Terny remain contested. In the Lyman AO, there were adjustments made east of Karpivka. In the Siversk AO, the map audit concluded that Russian forces no longer have military control of Hryhorivka, and the village was coded as contested.

In the northern part of the Kostiantynivka AO, the map audit adjusted the LOC east of Stupochky, which is south of Chasiv Yar. North of Toretsk, Russian forces captured the northwest corner of Druzhba, which Ukrainian forces defended for a year, and occupied the village of Dachne. Russian sabotage and reconnaissance units (DRG) reached the Kostiantynivka–Toretsk Road near the Moskva Mine Complex, near Toretsk. South of Kostiantynivka, Russian troops made marginal gains in western and south of Yablunivka.

In the Pokrovsk AO in the southwestern region of the Donetsk Oblast, Russian forces captured the village of Koptieve and advanced in the direction of Razine. Auditors removed the Russian presence in eastern Udachne.

In the Novopavlivka AO, Yalta and Zirka were coded as contested, based on new intelligence.

In the Vremivka Ledge AO, we can confirm that Russia never captured Perebudove, with only a limited number of DRGs entering the village last week. The frontline was adjusted near Komar, Fedorivka, and Novpoil.

Russian launched the largest combined drone and missile attack since expanding its war of aggression in February 2022, using 550 Shaheds, decoys, air-to-surface ballistic missiles, short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs), and ground-launched ballistic cruise missiles. Kyiv suffered the heaviest bombardment of any Ukrainian city since February 2014, and possibly the heaviest single-day bombardment of any city since the start of the century.

The European update includes Azerbaijan and Serbia.

The Middle East update includes Iran, Lebanon, the Palestinian Territories, and Saudi Arabia.

There were no significant developments in the African region.

The Asia and Oceania update includes Afghanistan and China.

The Americas update includes Mexico, Peru, and the United States.
