World Watch Report for 24-JUN-2025 - Horror in Dnipro, Israel-Iran Ceasefire Holds
Russian missile and drone strikes killed 19 and wounded 279 in Dnipro, after a missile struck a passenger train. The Israel-Iran truce held despite accusation of ceasefire breaches.
We will continue to produce World-Watch Summaries for the foreseeable future due to the overwhelming amount of information we're synthesizing and a dramatic increase in the number of geopolitical and war/conflict events. The U.S. Protest Map will be running behind for at least a week, as we are reviewing over 1,500 videos and pictures from the weekend. This is on top of Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Iran.
RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR
It has been 1,217 days since Russia expanded its war of aggression against Ukraine. There were no significant changes to the line of conflict, although Russian forces continued to creep forward in many areas.
Russia has dramatically increased its indiscriminate attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, caused by Ukraine's allies' indifference and all but the full acceptance of the United States.
On the 24th, Russian forces executed 151 ground assaults, and the 7-day moving average dropped to 165. The VKS (Russian Aerospace Forces) carried out 64 airstrikes using 118 precision-guided munitions, and ground forces executed approximately 6,350 fire missions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (GSAFU), Russia has suffered 1,014,650 casualties (KIA/WIA) since 24 February 2024.
Sumy Oblast
There were minor frontline adjustments in the area of Andriivka and Oleksiivka. Ukrainian forces 📺 repulsed a multi-platoon assault by light infantry on motorcycles north of Andriivka, confirming the existing line of contact (LOC) and the gray area. A squad of Russian troops entered the center of Oleksiivka but was eliminated.
Northeastern Donetsk Oblast
In the Kostiantynivka area of operation (AO), Russian forces made no notable gains, but the situation for Ukrainian defenses along the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Canal is deteriorating. Russian troops have advanced further than PMC Wagner Group reached in May 2023 at Stupochky, as well as west of Ozarianivka. Ukrainian forces still hold the area on or near the canal from Kurdyumivka north to Stupochky, but due to Russian drones, it is increasingly difficult to maintain ground lines of communication (GLOC - supply lines) and rotate troops.
Southwestern Donetsk Oblast
In the Novopavlivka AO, Russian forces continued to advance in the Zaporizhzhia area and are now positioned along the closest treeline east of Yalta. The situation is extremely difficult in this area.
Occupied Crimea, Black Sea, Mykolaiv, and Kherson
Ukrainian drones struck the Russian military airfield at Dzhankoi. At the time of publication, we could not provide a battle damage assessment.
Ukrainian drones also struck the headquarters of the volunteer naval special forces battalion Espanola in Chornomorske, 📺 flattening the building. Russian officials claimed there were no casualties.
Explosions were reported in the area of Kerch, but there were no indications that the Crimea Bridge was damaged.
Traitor Oleg Zubkov, who openly sided with Russia during the 2014 occupation of Crimea, died of his injuries after being mauled by two lions taken from the Mariupol Zoo in 2022 and transferred to his Taigan Safari Park in occupied Crimea.
